Event Details
If you’re ready to see some remote areas and tackle dirt roads on a motorcycle while enjoying the company of your Ducati family, this is your chance to be part of an adventurous multi-day tour and bring home memories that will last a lifetime.
The tour is a 3-day riding experience for novice through advanced riders, visiting scenic spots in Death Valley, Mojave Desert, and the Sierra Foothills.
Day two will include a significant distance on dirt roads. Participants not comfortable on dirt may choose an alternate route to loop around the north side of Death Valley and regroup at Alabama Hills.
- This trip is designed for novice to advanced riders, but be prepared to ride between 300 and 400 miles daily, in any weather condition. If you are unsure if this trip is right for you, contact us to discuss. For the safety of the group, participation is at the discretion of the ride leaders.
- This multi-day adventure ride is designed to accommodate only DROC owners of bikes with a range of at least 140 miles
- You’ll need to have proper gear and equipment.
- AAA coverage over 100+ miles is strongly suggested.
- The tour is open to a limited number of DROC members.
Tour Plan
Get ready for the ride
- Proper Riding Jacket
- Proper Riding Pants
- Proper Riding Gloves
- Proper Riding Boots
- Leathers or ADV touring options are required
- Clear visor for night driving
This trip is designed and planned for Adventure bikes
Due to the amount of mileage and required gas stops, this ride is limited to bikes with medium to long-distance tanks (like MultiStrada and DesertX) of at least 140 miles. Models such as Panigale/Scrambler/Hyper/StreetFighter, do not have the required range to make the trip enjoyable for a large group.
Lodging
There is a participation fee that we will use to centrally book and pay for rooms for all participants. All other expenses are on your own and not included in the fee.
Ground Rules
We would like to remind everyone, that each rider SHOULD and MUST ride within their limits. If the group goes at a speed you don’t feel comfortable with, you should not attempt to keep up.
You are encouraged to go at your own pace and the sweeper will be with you always. The group will always stop at important points for everyone to regroup.
Please, don’t feel ever like you are holding the group. We ride to enjoy our motorcycles, among friends and we want you to be safe.
- Safety meeting mandatory before the ride
- Adhere to indications given during the safety meeting
- No passing on the right side of the road
- Ride your own Ride; don’t push beyond your comfort zone
