Ride with DROC: the six ways we ride
DROC organizes riding in Orange County year round. There are six ways to ride with us and they are not variations on one thing: a free weeknight meetup, a canyon ride, a track day, a multi-day tour, a four-day statewide gathering, and Ducati’s worldwide single-day ride. This page exists so you can work out which one to show up to.
Never ridden with us? Start at a bike night
Bike nights are free, open to everyone including non-members, and need no registration. Park your Ducati with everyone else’s, eat something, talk about bikes for a couple of hours, ride home. Twice a month, always a Thursday evening. If you are trying to work out whether this club is for you, that is the cheapest possible way to find out. See where the next one is.

Bike nights
The easiest way to meet the club. Two a month: the fourth Thursday at Ducati Newport Beach in Costa Mesa, and the second Thursday at a rotating Orange County venue, usually a brewery or a taco place. Both run roughly 6:30 to 8:30 PM. No cost, no sign-up, no membership. The page lists every venue we have used and where the next one is. Bike nights
Group rides
Canyon and coast rides on the roads we come back to: Ortega Highway, Palomar, Angeles Crest, the Malibu canyons, Julian, Idyllwild, Big Bear. Every road has its own page with the route, what the surface and the traffic are like, where we stop, and every ride we have run on it. Every ride gets a briefing, a leader and a sweep, and nobody is asked to ride above their own pace. Read the ground rules and the hand signals before your first one. Group rides
Track days
Some are DROC’s own private days, some run with partners, some are Ducati events we attend together. You do not need a race bike, you do not need to own your leathers, and you will be grouped with riders at your pace. Six circuits so far: Chuckwalla, Buttonwillow, Streets of Willow, Laguna Seca, Circuit of the Americas, and Auto Club Speedway before it closed to us. ADV tours
Most DROC rides get you home for dinner. These do not. Multi-day trips on adventure and touring bikes for members who want real distance and something worth seeing at the end of it: Sequoia and Yosemite, the Grand Canyon and the National Monuments, Death Valley and the Sierra foothills. California Ducati Week
The annual September gathering of California’s Ducati Official Clubs, which DROC co-organizes with Bay Area DOC. Four days of curated coastal and canyon rides, off-bike tours, a gala dinner, sponsor showcases and time with Ducati North America. The 2025 edition brought together 11 clubs. California Ducati Week
We Ride As One
Ducati’s global initiative: one day in May, Ducatisti everywhere ride at the same time. DROC has ridden every edition since 2022. One departure, one group photo, a route built for enjoyment rather than difficulty, and a celebration at the end. Open to every Ducati rider. We Ride As One
What showing up actually looks like
You RSVP on the event page so the leader knows the group size. You sign the DROC waiver once, before your first ride. You arrive with a full tank. There is a briefing before every ride: route, pace, fuel stops, hand signals, who is leading and who is sweeping. Then you ride your own pace, nobody passes on the right, and the group waits at the turns. The full ground rules are on the group rides page.
Do you have to be a member?
Not to ride with us for the first time. Bike nights are free and open to everyone, and We Ride As One is open to every Ducati rider. Come to one of those before you decide anything.
Membership is $100 a year, and it is what opens the rest: most group rides, the ADV tours, and the private track days that fill from the membership first, plus the partner discounts. What members get ยท Join DROC

DROC rides Southern California. If you are anywhere else, there is probably a Ducati Official Club near you, and the D.O.C. community is built to help you find it. Clubs share routes and local knowledge the same way we do here.
Our directory lists every Ducati Official Club in North America by state and province, with member counts and where to find them, and you should always check out the official Ducati directory at Find a Club.
Some of them publish their roads too. South Puget Sound DOC, up in Washington, keeps its state routes here. If your club does the same, tell us and we will link it.
