Cars and Coffee at Porsche Irvine with Ducati Riders of Orange County

Picture a parking lot full of Porsches, a row of Ducatis out front, coffee in hand and nobody in a hurry. That is a DROC morning at Porsche Irvine, and it has become one of our favorite starts to a Saturday.

What it is

Porsche Irvine hosts a Cars and Coffee at its dealership on Scientific Way, and DROC rides in as a group. Vintage air-cooled Porsches next to the latest superbikes, Panigales, Monsters and Multistradas, all on the same pavement for a few hours.

There is no ride pace and no group formation at the meetup itself. Park, walk the lot, talk bikes, stay as long as you like. It is free to attend and open to the public, so it is also the easiest way to meet the club before you join.

In March 2026 Porsche Irvine gave the curb in front of the showroom to the Ducati club, a row of Ducatis right under the glass. That was a special welcome for DROC, not the everyday parking plan, so follow the staff on the morning.

How DROC does it

Some mornings it is the destination. On March 21, 2026 we met at Porsche Irvine from 9:00 AM to noon, with food trucks on site, and simply stayed.

Some mornings it is the first stop of a ride. On April 19, 2025 the group met at 7:30 AM at the Shell on Lake Forest Drive in Laguna Hills, fueled up, visited Cars and Coffee, then rode Santiago Canyon and Carbon Canyon and finished with lunch at Piadina Italian Market in Tustin.

And it is where We Ride As One starts. For Ducati’s worldwide ride day DROC meets at Porsche Irvine and rides about 60 miles through the canyons and down the coast to Ducati Newport Beach. In 2026, Ducati’s centenary year, the route ran 59.2 miles.

Before you come

  • Fuel up first. There is a Chevron and a Shell at Research Drive and Lake Forest Drive, just before the dealership. Arrive with a full tank so a ride that follows does not stop early.
  • Come early. The best conversations happen before the crowd.
  • Wear your gear if a ride follows: jacket, pants, gloves and boots. Leathers recommended.
  • RSVP on the event page when one is posted, so we know how many Ducatis to expect.
