Long Ride to Lake Arrowhead August 2026

DROC is heading up the mountain to Lake Arrowhead for a full Saturday ride. We climb the famous Rim of the World Scenic Byway, run alongside Silverwood Lake, and wind through the pines to the lake for lunch before heading home. This is a long ride with multiple stops, so come fueled up, hydrated, and ready for a full day in the saddle.

Meetup: 8:00 AM at Shell, 1914 E Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92867. KSU 8:15 AM.

Ride plan: Freeway run north via the 91 and I-15, gas and rest stop near Cajon Pass, then up Highway 138 (Rim of the World Scenic Byway) past Silverwood Lake, continuing on Highway 18 through Crestline to Lake Arrowhead Village for lunch by the lake. Plan for a late-afternoon return to Orange County.

Ground Rules

We would like to remind everyone, that each rider SHOULD and MUST ride within their limits. If the group goes at a speed you don’t feel comfortable with, you should not attempt to keep up.

You are encouraged to go at your own pace and the sweeper will be with you always. The group will always stop at important points for everyone to regroup.

Please, don’t feel ever like you are holding the group. We ride to enjoy our motorcycles, among friends and we want you to be safe.

Please have an ‘in case of emergency’ (“ICE”) contact number programmed in your phone (instructions for iPhone and Android) and/or placed on your bike.
