Long ride to Solvang
Event Details
A long day of riding to visit Solvang and tour the Solvang Motorcycle museum: on the way, enjoy some of the best coastal scenery on PCH, through the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley and the San Marco pass rd (HWY 154).
This is a full day ride, starting early in the morning and coming back at or after dinner, and totaling 350+ miles: a perfect opportunity for a MultiStrada or DesertX ride – be advised: probably not a good choice for a Panigale or any superbike.

- OC Meetup: 8 AM at Shell, 17966 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708
- LA Meetup: 9 AM at Chevron, 17301 Pacific Coast Hwy, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
- Ride PCH until 101, then 154
- Lunch in Solvang
- Visit the Solvang Motorcycle museum
- Ride back home
Overall about 350+ miles, 2 planned stops for gas each way.
We should be back by 8 PM.
Get ready for the ride
- Proper Riding Jacket
- Proper Riding Pants
- Proper Riding Gloves
- Proper Riding Boots
- Leathers or ADV touring options are recommended
- Clear visor for night driving
- A bag with water, an extra layer or change of clothes
Ground Rules
We would like to remind everyone, that each rider SHOULD and MUST ride within their limits. If the group goes at a speed you don’t feel comfortable with, you should not attempt to keep up.
You are encouraged to go at your own pace and the sweeper will be with you always. The group will always stop at important points for everyone to regroup.
Please, don’t feel ever like you are holding the group. We ride to enjoy our motorcycles, among friends and we want you to be safe.

- Ride your own Ride; don’t push beyond your comfort zone
