DROC ADV tours
Most DROC rides get you home for dinner. The ADV tours do not. These are multi-day trips on adventure and touring bikes, built for members who want to put real distance behind them and see something at the end of it.
Since 2024 that has meant the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, and Sequoia and Yosemite twice, plus a sunset off-road ride closer to home for people curious about riding dirt without committing a week to it.
The tours
- Sequoia and Yosemite, 4 days, intermediate and advanced. Run in 2024 and 2026
- Grand Canyon and the National Monuments, 5 days through Nevada, Arizona and Utah. 2025
- Death Valley and the Sierra foothills, 3 days with a dirt day and a paved alternative. 2026
What an ADV tour involves
- Several days out, with hotels booked ahead and a route plan shared before departure.
- Long days in the saddle, often 300 miles or more, with fuel stops planned because some of these roads have very little between them.
- Mixed surfaces on some tours. Not all of it is pavement, and the route plan says which parts are not.
- A group small enough to move, and riders who are comfortable maintaining a pace for hours.
Is it for you
If you have done a few of the long day rides and finished them wanting more, yes. If you have never ridden more than a hundred miles in a day, start with a long ride first. Nobody minds, and it is a much better way to find out how you feel at hour six.
